Review: Assumption

So, i really don't know where to start...
I liked "the core story", liked the male character, the female character not so much but didn't hated.
What trouble me was the background information that is shoved in our way. This is the 1st book of this serie and several side character are from other serie, some background info would be helpful. Other trouble for me was the pace of the story, there so much unnecessary info and some things that was truly important where only light talked. Keaton killing spree was in my opinion over reacting and only in the story to introduce us to other characters in of coming books.
Last 10% of the book was like a very long Epilogue.
